Tom Moore is a violist, guitarist and producer who grew up steeped in the traditional folk music of his native Norfolk. An in-demand collaborator, his playing has been described as “irresistible” (The Independent) and “ingenious” (The Guardian). Having spent the last 15 years performing at festivals and venues all over the UK and Europe, more recently he has contributed as player, producer and engineer to a stack of albums from some of the brightest acts on the folk scene.
In 2026 Tom is debuting with his quartet—Nina Harries on Double Bass, Oren Mcloughlin on Drums, and Charlie Wheatley on Harmonium. Together they are carefully blending ancient and new melodies, intertwining Tom’s electric guitar + valve amp combo and signature mellow viola with the deep acoustic grounding of a rhythm section and the textures of a pump harmonium. Expect fragments of old English folk tunes, echoes of early music, and newly written material woven together with overdriven guitars and hypnotic cycles.
